Igor Stravinsky’s mugshot following his arrest in Massachusetts for his arrangement of the Star Spangled Banner, 1940.
somehow i would like this to be true: the badass composer, the narrow-mindedness, the blue eye
“Dutch-born matinee idol Lou Tellegen (1883-1934) was considered one of the best-looking actors of the silent screen. He made three pictures with Sarah Bernhardt, with whom he was also romantically involved. In London the ‘stage adonis’ starred in Oscar Wilde’s The Picture of Dorian Gray. In Hollywood he married Geraldine Farrar and co-starred with her in three of her films. After the silent era had ended. his career was over and he ended his tempestuous life by stabbing himself with a pair of golden scissors.”
